Learning Outcomes
Philosophy Statement
This OMT Essentials program supports six General Education Learning Outcomes representing communication, global awareness, critical thinking, information literacy, and scientific and quantitative reasoning. These are the skills necessary to participate effectively within a diverse medical community and global workplace.
Program Learning Outcome #1
Demonstrate knowledge of ophthalmic medical, surgical, anatomical, physiological, microbiological, pathological, and pharmacological terminology with appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication in an ambulatory care setting- private medical practice, hospital, or outpatient facility.
